Dr. Youness Boutaib
My up-to-date information can be found on my personal website .
I am a postdoctoral researcher and teacher assistant at the Chair for Mathematics of Information Processing in RWTH Aachen University.
I obtained my DPhil in Mathematics at the University of Oxford where I studied the theory of Rough Paths in the context of manifolds. After that, I joined the DFG research unit FOR 2402 to work on a geometric interpretation of the theory of regularity structures.
Prior to my DPhil, I studied financial mathematics at Télécom Paris and the University of Paris (formerly Université Paris Diderot) and worked as a consultant for Murex, a provider of technology solutions for financial institutions.
Research interests:
- Machine learning (recurrent neural networks),
- Theories of Rough paths & regularity structures,
- Stochastic analysis on manifolds & Lipschitz geometry.
